Anyone who has passed in 10+2 system of Senior Secondary Education or its equivalent with English as one of the subjects. Candidates appearing for 10+2 examination are also considered eligible for NCHM JEE. Applications, subject to the submission of proof of qualifying 10+2 examination at the time of counselling, failing which their candidature shall be cancelled. Candidates belonging to general and OBC categories should not be greater than the age than 22 years of age, as on July 1, of that year. Those belonging to the reserved categories, SC/ST, should not be greater than 25 years of age, as on July 1, of that year..

Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website of NCHMCT JEE 2018 from April 2018 onwards. One copy of NCHMCT JEE Admit Card, which is duly attested by Gazetted Officer/Head of Institution last attended/Bank Manager of scheduled Bank/Area Post Master, has to be deposited with the invigilator for his/her signature. The admit card needs to be preserved by the candidate and produced at the time of Counselling, whereas, the second copy of the Admit Card is to be deposited at the examination centre.

Candidates need to appear for the NCHMCT JEE exam as per the schedule and exam centre mentioned on their admit card. NCHMCT JEE 2018 is a three hour duration exam which consists of questions from five subjects which are - Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude, Reasoning and Logical Deduction, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, English Language and Aptitude for Service Sector.

You’ll need to remit NCHM JEE Application Fees before filling in the online applications. You can choose either of the modes, Online or Offline for paying the fees.

NCHMCT JEE 2018 admit card has been made available on the official website of the hospitality entrance exam. Candidates need to download their admit card for NCHMCT JEE exam by filling their details such as application number and date of birth in the space provided on the website of National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT). The hall ticket for the exam is issued only in the online mode. Candidates are informed that the admit card for JEE conducted by NCHMCT JEE is a mandatory document that aspirants need to carry with them to their test centre on the day of the exam. Aspirants are advised to carry two copies of their NCHMCT JEE hall ticket on the day of the exam as one copy of the admit card needs to be submitted to the invigilator and the other copy needs to be retained for NCHMCT JEE counselling day.

At the time of counselling, the eligibility of candidates for admission is checked and their documents are verified. The NCHMCT JEE 2018 counselling fee is Rs 1000. Apart from this, candidates are asked to pay their counselling as well as first semester fee. At the time of NCHMCT JEE Counselling, candidates need to mention their college preference for admission on the basis of their AIR. The allotment of college through counselling will be done on the basis of merit (AIR) and choice (of Institute) exercised by the candidate.

National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) conducts Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) each year to offer admission to aspirants in hospitality and hotel administration programmes. NCHMCT is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. NCHMCT was established in 1982.


By clearing NCHMCT JEE 2018, candidates can secure admission in 21 Central Institutes of Hotel Management, 22 State Government Institutes of Hotel Management, one Public Sector Undertaking and 14 Private Institutes of Hotel Management affiliated with NCHMCT. Apart from this, a total of 12 Food Craft Institutes, 2 SIHMs (running only diploma level program) . Talking about the courses offered by the colleges, the official website of NCHMCT states: “Through the Council, these institutes offer 10 different professional programmes leading to award of Certificate, Diploma, Post Graduate Diploma, Bachelor and Master Degree. The BSc and MSc programmes are offered in collaboration with Indira Gandhi National Open University – IGNOU”. As per the NCHMCT JEE brochure, the Council, till date has trained approximately 80,000 Hospitality Managers, Executives and other operational personnel.
